My Baptism

Even though everyone had the flu, I was still baptized right on schedule! It was really nice and my party was tons of fun! I was able to fit into my Mommy's baptism dress and little ballet slippers that my grandma bought me, then I had a pretty party dress that my other grandma bought me! So much fun and all the attention was on me!

Santa is a good man!

I got lots of cool stuff for Christmas! I got a talking doggie from my aunt and uncle, a red wagon from Grandma and Grandpa M and a rocking octopus from Grandma and Grandpa H, lots of clothes and books from Pat and Paula and Brian and Traci, A Tigger pillow and blacket from Jonny, and many toys from Lilly and Abby and Helen! Mommy and Daddy got me instruments so I can play Rock Band with them, and Mommy got me my first T-ball and bat! Watch out Bella and Biscuit!

My new friends!

I want to send a shout out to my new friends! Melon(Helen) belongs to Vance and Jill, Mommy and Daddy's hardest recruits to Project Relocation. Lilly belongs to Matt and Clemy, she lives in Swizerland and squeaks in French and English! Abby belongs to Ivan and Katie, also heavily recruited to Project Relocation, and we think she looks just like her Mommy! (huh?) It was fun to see them all, I enjoyed patting baby Abby the most.

Food, Glorious Food!

Yeah, Mommy let me play! Then she threw me in the shower! She was busy doing laundry, packing, getting me ready for school tomorrow and packing her lunch for work, reading the mail and updating the blog, so I had my dinner all to myself! I'm just not sure shere the spoonful of cereal was coming from that I actually ate!

Yummy!

Wow what a day! Today I saw my first snow! Mommy and I ran errands ( no rest when christmas is a week away!) and we were running in and out of places 'cause white stuff was blowing at us! My kept commenting on the road being slippery too! I had to go to my 6 month Dr appt to find out how big I am and my rules for the next 3 months! HE told me I was so big and strong ( and cute too!) I weigh 17 lbs (80%) and I'm 25.5 inches long (50%). He told me I could I could start on stage 2 foods and juice in a sippy cup. He told me I could start gnawing on crackers too! I took to big of a bite the first time a choked myself! Thank goodness mommy is a nurse and knows what to do. She shoved her finger in my mouth then she smacked me on the back really hard! It really hurt! I got over it quickly and went back to rolling around on the floor!

All by myself!

I can sit up all by myself! I do ok until I see something I want then I fall over, cry for a second then start rollin to get it. No time to dwell on things I can't do. I have also found it rather annoying that when I try to move forward things get further away ( while mommy just laughs at me, meanie!) and I find myself scooting backwards or the blanket underneath me gets gets bunched up under me!

So sleepy so tired!

After a long day of playing and rolling all over the house I finally wore myself out and fell asleep on the couch. Being active is so tiring!

Ready for my long winter nap!

Why did Mommy and Grandpa bring a tree into the house? IT was really pretty when they were done with it though! Mommy even let me put a few of the decorations on it!

Baby Spa Day

I was jealous the other day listening to Mommy and Auntie SHeralyn talk about their spa day, then I realized I get a spa day every other day! It starts out with a realaxing soak in warm water to relax me and clean me up, then I get a nice warm wrap to steam dry in. Next comes the baby moisturizing massage. I LOVE the massage. Mommy works all the knots out of my shoulders from my hard day of working on rolling over and attempting to scoot. Next I relax in my spa robe and slippers while my gourmet meal of organic rice cereal and prosobee smoothie is prepared to order! Yummy! ( smells gross but tastes ok.) Then I enjoy a long conversation with my blanket and the shadows and drift into sleepy land!

I'm outta here!

I am now a rolling machine! I just roll and roll. If I see a toy I go get it! Mommy and Daddy ca no longer just leave me and still have me laying there waiting for them to get back! Watch out Bella and Biscuit, aI'm after your stuff next!

I was the best in my class!

Daddy took me to my first swim lesson today while Mommy was at work and I was awesome! I learned what to do when I was dunked under water. I didn't like it at first but then I got the hang of it. The instructor told Daddy not to hold me under water so long! Uncle Jonny was the best uncle ever and photog'd the whole thing!

Soooooooo Tired

My first family dinner!

I got to eat with the family for the first time today! I ate oatmeal and Everyone got chicken parmesean but I still got to sit at the table in my highchair for the first time! Yeah, go me!

Holloween Hoopla

Wow, yesterday was about as weird as they come. Daddy took me to school in my pajamas and told me it was pajama day so I had to. Then at school kids went from door to door asking for tricks or treats. (Why would you ask for someone to trick you?) THen Daddy picked me up from school and took me to see Mommy at work where I got a lot of attention from a lot of people dressed all the same. Mommy told me that all the nurses were supposed to be a MASH unit, whatever that is. All the kids at her job were dressed up funny. Like princesses or vampires or Tinker bell. It was weird though cause none of the kids had hair! Even less than me! Mommy let me work with her a little bit and told me later that I made one teenagers day cause she got to play with me! I don't know what she did but it must have been bad cause she was on isolation and couldn't play with other kids! Mommy said she used to have a bad infection that cleared up but the important people at the hospital had rules and so she had to stay in her room. SHe also joked with me that I had more hair than her!

If there is a Great Pumpkin, I didn't see it!

Yesterday Mommy took me to the pumpkin patch to look for good carving pumpkins for Holloween. She told me the story of the Great Pumpkin on our way there. If he showed up I didn't see him and Mommy even woke me up from my nap to look too! I did get my first wagon ride while we were looking though. I wasn't quite sure what I was supposed to do and tried to eat it on several occasions. I had just started to get the hang of it and then it was time to go! Maybe for Christmas Daddy will get me my own wagon! After the pumpkin patch we went home so I could eat some more oatmeal. I am starting to like it a little bit more and actually swallow some of it now!

I don't know how I feel about the mushy stuff!

Mommy starte me on oatmeal this week and I'm not quite sure how I like it. I do best if my tummy is full before we try it or I just cry and cry. When I am jungary I want to eat, not play with mushy stuff that smell like formula! Once I get the hang of it I don't mind but it is so hard to keep my hands and my bib out of my mouth when it is open. Mommy always has to remind me that I can't eat and suck on other things at the same time!
When we were at Pluckers last week I figured out how to be like Daddy and Uncle T. I wiggle my little arm into the handle of the big cup and hold on! Someday when I can lift the glass and drink like a big person, Mommy and Daddy are not going to think its so cute then!

I'm HOW old?

I am now 4 months old. I went to see the nice Dr on Friday. I weigh 14 lbs and 4 oz and I am 2 feet tall! Mommy and Daddy and I celebrated by going to the Texas State Fair! We watched piggy races (I did not like all the cheering) and we tried fried cookie dough, and spent lots of time in the petting zoo with all these cool looking animals! Daddy enjoyed this part the best! Then I took a nap as Mommy and Daddy wondered around looking at the cars and stuff! I have been working very hard at rolling over (still only when no one is looking) and sitting up with little help! I tried my first bites of Oatmeal on Sunday too! NOt so sure how I feel about that. Mommy said it would probably taste better with formula instead of water but we will see!

Daddy, my jungle gym

Wow it is kind of crazy around here! So much to do and so little time! I am trying so hard to learn to roll over, and trying my hardest to keep it a secret. Mommy caught me 2 times! One time she actually saw me and the other time she turned around and when she turned back I was on my back! I want more practice to perfect my technique before she gets it on film.
I have decided that Daddy makes a darn good jungle gym! We play super baby until his arms shake! And I absolutely adore upside down baby! I giggle and then I send drool bombers on Daddy's head! It is so much fun to watch his face as e gets hit!

Germs, Germs everywhere!

Did Mommy bring the hospital home with her? She is sick, Daddy is sick, Uncle Jonny is sick, and I have the sniffles! She has been back to work all of 3 weeks and I already don't want her to go back! She keeps saying that the kids at work aren't contagious sick but I don't buy it! Where did we all get it? She was at home today which usually means we play and play and play but today she just kept running back and forth to the bathroom and left me to play by myself:( She did tell me that my smile made her day!

I can see!

Mommy took me to the eye doctor today! They put a ton of drops into my eyes and maybe I am imagining things but afterward it really hurt when it was sunny and everything was kind of blurry. The mean doctor tried to pry my eyes open and shine a bright light in my eyes, oweeee. Mommy and her doctor friend from work just laughed at me when I complained, not nice! After the tests and the Dr told me I was fine and did not need to come back, I went up to see some of Mommy's friends and got lots of love to make up for the other people. I got to see some of the nice people that I have heard so much about. They all told me that I should have fun with Daddy this weekend while they stole my Mommy away to Albuqerque this weekend for a conference!
